Chelyabinsk NPO "Radiotekhnicheskie sistemy" (RTS) increased output of hardware systems for controlling aircraft takeoff and landing. Such equipment is used at Russian and foreign airports.
At the end of 2025, the enterprise joined the federal project "Labor Productivity" of the national project "Efficient and Competitive Economy". In the very first months of work, the plant reduced the product manufacturing cycle by 20%.
How exactly the plant sped up production for aviation
The enterprise implemented the 5S system, reconfigured production lines, and launched a support program for process improvement initiatives. As a result, work-in-progress inventory decreased by 10%, and the movement of products accelerated by 35%.
Navigation systems for air transport are produced by only a few companies worldwide. This is highly knowledge-intensive and complex equipment, the production of which must be carried out in accordance with the most modern manufacturing practices to ensure the high competitiveness of the products being created.
Trained employees began spreading lean technologies to other divisions, including the design department and the production of specialized cabinets for electronics.
The company's management expects that the changes will increase the competitiveness of its products and strengthen the position of NPO "RTS" in international aviation equipment markets.
