United Engine Corporation (UEC) of Rostec delivered five gas pumping units with a total capacity of 86 MW for the booster compressor stations of the Power of Siberia gas pipeline. The equipment, intended to supply gas from fields in the Irkutsk Region and Yakutia, is built on the basis of gas turbine engines that ensure high reliability in harsh climatic conditions.
Three unified UGPA-12 units rated at 12 MW each were supplied for the Kovykta field. They were developed by "UEC Engineering" using PS-90GP-1 gas turbine engines from "UEC-Perm Engines". The unified platform makes it possible to integrate turbines of different capacities without major design changes, speeding up production and installation.
Two GPA-25 units rated at 25 MW each with PS-90GP-25 gas turbine engines from "UEC-Perm Engines" are intended for the Chayanda field. These solutions are widely used in mainline gas transportation: more than 90 similar units are in operation in Russia.
The UGPA-12 and GPA-25 gas turbine units remain operational at temperatures from -60°C to +45°C, with a time between overhauls of 35,000 hours, which is critical for remote fields.
