As part of the development of high-speed rail transport in Russia, the General Director of Russian Railways, Oleg Belozerov, announced that the work schedule for the HSR project between Moscow and St. Petersburg, as well as the creation of specialized trains, is being observed. According to him, a domestic train for HSR is being actively developed and is already being produced.
For 12 [systems], final conclusions have already been received. They are already ready for operation. Well, the train itself, two cars are being welded. Accordingly, the pace that has been set indicates that we are moving at full speed according to the schedule.
Belozerov noted that out of 91 key systems of the train, 49 units have already been manufactured and are undergoing testing stages with subsequent certification.
The train is being manufactured by the "Ural Locomotives" enterprise, which is part of the Sinara group of companies. The first tests of the finished trains are scheduled for the fall of 2027 on an experimental section of the line from Zelenograd to Tver.
It should be reminded that the high-speed railway (HSR) is a specialized electrified double-track railway designed for trains to travel at speeds from 200 to 400 km/h. Full commissioning is expected in 2028, which will reduce travel time between the two capitals to 2 hours 15 minutes.
Earlier www1.ru reported that 100% of metal structures have been delivered for the working bridge of the HSR Moscow — St. Petersburg in the Tver region.
