Russia's newest Il-114-300 turboprop aircraft will be tested over the next year in various geographical zones and climatic conditions. This was announced by Il Managing Director Daniil Brenerman.
Last year, we completed the main certification test program. This year, we will expand the aircraft's data map, that is, confirm in cooperation with aviation authorities its capabilities in a wide range of operating conditions.
The Il-114-300 is equipped with domestically produced TV7-117ST-01 engines. The powerplant was certified in December 2022. In its technical characteristics, the engine surpasses foreign counterparts. It has increased takeoff power and a new AV112-114 propeller with thrust of up to 4 tons.
The passenger aircraft is designed for 68 seats. The Il-114-300 is expected to replace the An-24, ATR-42/72, Bombardier Q-300, and CRJ-100/200 on local airlines. The aircraft is also planned for use in Arctic regions.
The aircraft made its first international demonstration flight at the Wings India exhibition on January 28, 2026. The United Aircraft Corporation (OAK) signed a preliminary agreement to supply six aircraft with the Indian private company Flamingo Aerospace.
