AO \"Murmansk Gubernskiy Flot\" (part of the fishing holding \"Norebo\") has filed a lawsuit with the Arbitration Court of St. Petersburg and the Leningrad Region against PAO \"Shipbuilding Plant \\\"Severnaya Verf\\\"\" for 3.7 billion rubles. The subject of the claim is \"fulfillment of obligations under work contracts.\" Details of the demands have not yet been disclosed.
\"Severnaya Verf\" has launched only 6 of the 10 trawlers ordered by the \"Norebo\" group. Construction of the remaining four has become almost impossible due to sanctions restrictions.
The shipyard has been building Project 170701 trawlers for \"Norebo\" since 2017. Under the contract, it is planned to build ten vessels with fish-processing factories on board.
The total value of the contract is estimated at 38.4 billion rubles. Due to rising prices and the refusal of foreign companies to supply equipment, the shipyard and the customer have faced serious problems.
In 2023, the \"Norebo\" group planned to take the unfinished trawlers because of changes in the market, but this could not be carried out.
Project 170701 makes it possible to build modern freezer trawlers, 81.2 meters long with a crew of 80 people. Each trawler includes a fish-processing factory with a capacity of up to 150 tons of frozen fish and canned products per day.
Earlier, www1.ru reported that the manufacturer of the frigate \"Admiral Gorshkov\" was served with a 3.1 billion ruble lawsuit.
