The operability of Russia's latest H820 combine harvester is being tested under extreme conditions

The machine is equipped with a next-generation hybrid threshing system

In the fields of the Ryazan Region, the first stage of field tests of the domestic grain combine harvester H820 was successfully completed — an innovative development with a hybrid threshing system that demonstrated stable operation even at subzero temperatures.

The machine is equipped with a unique hybrid system combining drum and rotor threshing principles with multistage separation, which ensures minimal grain losses and high productivity even when working with wet or overripe crops.

The H820 combine harvester (RSM-4153) has a full operating weight of about 20 tons. The new model is equipped with a YaMZ 658 series engine rated at 510 hp, a feeder house 1,500 mm wide, and a 13,500 L grain tank.

The test results obtained at an air temperature of –12 degrees Celsius were of particular interest. Despite the frost, the combine efficiently harvested grain corn, confirming the reliability of the hydraulic systems, electronics, and engine under conditions close to the limit for this type of machinery.
