The Arbitration Court of the Rostov Region fined the Taganrog Aviation Scientific-Technical Complex (TANTK) named after G. M. Beriev 66 million rubles for environmental pollution. The Black Sea-Azov Sea Department of Rosprirodnadzor filed a lawsuit against the enterprise.
The basis was the results of a planned inspection by the department on April 5, 2023. Inspectors identified 11 sites with unauthorized waste disposal on the territory of the aircraft factory.
Sites did not meet environmental requirements - there was no waterproof coating, protection from atmospheric precipitation, and marking.
The aircraft factory tried to challenge the court decision, citing a difficult financial situation and lack of experience in remediation. The court rejected the arguments and recovered the full amount of damage.
TANTK named after Beriev is part of the United Aircraft Corporation and produces Be-200 amphibious aircraft, which in the future will be equipped with PD-8 engines.
Previously, the company discovered the supply of substandard materials from contractors, and the perpetrators received real prison sentences.
