The Ural Civil Aviation Plant (UZGA) has received an order for the first hundred LMS-901 Baikal aircraft. This was reported in a report from the enterprise on the Russia 1 TV channel.
Journalists noted that successful tests of the VK-800 engine proved that the Baikal is destined to exist.
This year, it should receive all certificates and begin mass conquest of the small sky of Russia. The first orders for a hundred cars are already available.
Ekaterina Zgirovskaya, an official representative of UZGA, clarified that we are talking about leasing deliveries with certain state support.
Because people need to be transported, they should not be earned on in this case. This is the main task for today.
Senator Sergei Muratov stated that the Ural Civil Aviation Plant has reached the final stage of the Baikal production, but the project needs to be provided with funding.
According to the idea, the LMS-901 project will replace the outdated An-2. Designer Alexander Silin emphasized that the Baikal is superior to Soviet cars in speed and fuel efficiency.
