The Military Academy of Logistics named after General of the Army A. V. Khrulev has patented a new type of special equipment — a light armored water-alcohol refueler. The document is published in the database of the Federal Institute of Industrial Property (FIPS).
This is a fuel service vehicle, mainly intended for delivering and refueling aircraft with distilled water, alcohol, and water-alcohol mixtures.
Such liquids are used in aviation — from anti-icing systems to special technical circuits. The key feature of the development is light armor, designed to operate near combat zones.
The patent indicates that the purpose of the invention is to increase the survivability of the crew and the safety of technological equipment during operation in hazardous conditions.
Structurally, the water-alcohol refueler is a special vehicle with a light armored hull, power plant, transmission, transfer case, and chassis.
Inside there is technological equipment: a heat-insulated tank for distilled water, a separate tank for alcohol, pipelines with valves, a pump, a dispenser, a meter, and a dispensing hose with a drum and a refueling nozzle.
All elements are planned to be integrated into a single system, which allows for metered supply of liquids and quick and safe refueling of aircraft equipment. Thermal insulation of the tanks ensures the stability of the properties of liquids during operation in difficult climatic conditions.
