The Russian VKO Almaz-Antey concern has signed a contract with the Belarusian Ministry of Defense for the maintenance and repair of air defense (air defense) equipment. A service center has been created on the territory of the republic, which will begin work in the coming months.
The enterprise, in cooperation with Russian enterprises, will service the anti-aircraft equipment belonging to Belarus.
The corresponding document was signed by representatives of JSC Concern VKO Almaz-Antey and the Ministry of Defense of Belarus within the framework of an agreement on the development of military-technical cooperation between the countries.
As a reminder, Almaz-Antey is one of the largest enterprises of the military-industrial complex, produces air defense equipment, including the latest S-500 Prometheus anti-aircraft missile system.
Vyacheslav Dzirkaln, Deputy General Director of the concern, announced plans to modernize air defense systems for foreign customers taking into account real combat experience.
