The Kaluga Turbine Plant (KTZ) will appeal the decision of the Arbitration Court of Moscow in the lawsuit of Power Machines for 96.5 million rubles. The latter's claims are related to penalties under the 2021 contract for the supply of equipment for the hydro unit and the performance of supervision services.
The Ninth Arbitration Court of Appeal accepted the KTZ's complaint for proceedings and scheduled a hearing for January 21, 2026.
Initially, the court found that KTZ had delayed all stages of the contract. The supply of necessary products and the provision of services were completed only in December 2024, a year later than the stipulated date.
In total, KTZ is obliged to pay 96.51 million rubles, as well as 3.9 million rubles of state duty.
As a reminder, KTZ is the main manufacturer of OK-90A-1 Azurit and OK17-M Mirage steam turbine units for Project 955 Borei and Project 885M Yasen-M nuclear-powered strategic missile submarines.
