About Russia's Strategic Aviation
According to some estimates, the Russian Aerospace Forces include up to 130 strategic and long-range bombers, including the Tu-160, Tu-95MS, and Tu-22M3. The aircraft carry high-precision cruise missiles, including the Kh-101, Kh-BD, and Kh-55.
Strategic aviation is part of Russia's nuclear triad. Its purpose is to patrol distant borders, ensure the integrity of state borders, and provide nuclear deterrence against a potential enemy.
