Technopromexport Company (part of Rostec Group) will begin construction of a new 135 MW Trudovaya gas turbine power plant (GTPP) near Simferopol. This was reported in the press service of the state corporation.
The new GTPP on the peninsula will provide even greater electricity generation for the South of Russia, which will reduce the energy shortage, give them the pulse for the integrated development of the region, and allow the construction of new facilities.
The project aims to improve the reliability of the region's power system. The main characteristic of the GTPP will be its maneuverability. The station will operate in a simple cycle, which will allow it to be quickly connected to the grid during peak hours of energy consumption to cover peak loads.
The project concept also provides for the possibility of increasing capacity by switching to a combined cycle. In the future, this may increase the efficiency and installed capacity of the facility.
Six GTA-25 gas turbine units will be the main equipment at the station. Each unit is equipped with PS-90GP-25 industrial engines with a capacity of 22.5 MW.
The use of GTA-25 offers the advantages of block-modular designs with a high degree of automation. Such units consist of components that are manufactured at the factory and transported to the site for assembly into a single installation. The optimal size of the blocks simplifies delivery and installation, and also reduces construction and commissioning time.
Technopromexport Company has successfully implemented a number of projects in the fuel and energy sector in the south of Russia. These include Tavricheskaya TPP and Balaklavskaya TPP in Crimea. In November 2024, the Udarnaya TPP in the Krasnodar Territory, where the first domestic serial high-power turbine GTD-110M generates electricity in one of its power units, began operating at full capacity.
Earlier, www1.ru reported that UEC is developing rapidly deployable power plants to supply remote areas.
