The Ulyanovsk aircraft factory "Aviastar" (part of the United Aircraft Corporation) has been tasked with increasing production. This was announced in the Telegram channel by Governor Alexey Russkikh.
The head of the Ulyanovsk region noted that on Tuesday, December 2, Russian President Vladimir Putin signed a decree on celebrating the 50th anniversary of the founding of the branch of PJSC "Aviastar" in 2026.
I am sure that federal support will primarily help give a new impetus to the development of "Aviastar". Now the plant faces serious tasks to increase production volumes. We will also be able to implement new infrastructure projects in the region.
As a reminder, "Aviastar" serially produces modernized heavy military transport aircraft Il-76MD-90A and tankers based on them — Il-78M-90A.
The plant produces individual components and assemblies for other Russian aviation programs, such as the medium-range passenger aircraft МС-21, the light transport aircraft Ил-112В and the regional aircraft Ил-114-300.
