In Petropavlovsk-Kamchatsky, on November 6, an incident occurred at the shipyard pier during the launching of the border patrol boat PSKA-287 of Project 1496, belonging to the Coast Guard of the Border Service of the FSB of Russia.
The vessel, which was being repaired on the shore, suddenly lost stability and capsized into the water. Several people were overboard, but thanks to the prompt actions of personnel and rescuers, no one was injured.
The very next day, specialists from the ship repair company and representatives of the Coast Guard carried out an operation to straighten the boat and put it on an even keel. According to preliminary data, a commission is being created to investigate the causes of the incident.
