Russia and Malaysia working on ground handling agreements for direct flights

Red Wings plans to operate flights between Moscow and Langkawi Island

Russia and Malaysia are preparing to launch direct flights in 2025. This was reported to RIA Novosti by the press service of the Ministry of Transport of Russia.

At the first stage, it is planned to operate flights from Moscow to the Malaysian island of Langkawi, popular among Russian tourists. According to Deputy Minister of Transport Vladimir Poteshkin, flights on this route will be operated by Red Wings.

The aviation authorities of the two countries continue to work on agreements on ground handling and fuel supply.

Following the consultations, it is expected that direct air service between Russia and Malaysia will open before the end of 2025.
