«Аэрофлот» спасёт производство МС-21: без крупных заказов выжить будет сложно

"Aeroflot" plans to receive more than 100 MC-21 aircraft by 2030. At the same time, in the future, the volume of deliveries may increase even more, said the CEO of the carrier, Sergei Alexandrovsky.

According to him, the company has already signed a contract for the supply of 18 aircraft of this type, and in the future it is ready to purchase another 90 such aircraft. Alexandrovsky stressed that without large orders, it is difficult for the Russian aircraft industry to gain momentum in the serial production of new aircraft.

This is just the beginning, we are ready to sign the next one to increase. And we are already discussing the terms of the contract with the industry in detail, we are ready to do it as flexibly as possible.

Alexandrovsky added that the production of new aircraft is the future of Russian aviation.

Russian Minister of Economic Development Maxim Reshetnikov noted that thousands of suppliers are involved in the work on the aircraft.
