The Project 22220 Vessel is Forming a Superstructure for Living and Service Quarters

Specialists at the Baltic Shipyard loaded an enlarged section block-part of the vessel's superstructure-onto the universal nuclear icebreaker Chukotka (Project 22220). Workers are currently installing and equipping the interior spaces.

The Baltic Shipyard has learned to manufacture multi-section blocks to reduce construction time. The transition to large-block assembly technology will also reduce the labor intensity of production processes.

Currently, work is underway on the vessel to form the superstructure on the upper deck. The structure serves to accommodate crew and passenger cabins, as well as service spaces.
