Конструкцию нового самолёта ЛМС-192 «Освей» изменили: аэродинамика выше, расход топлива упал

To reduce production costs, the fairings of the flap and aileron suspension units were removed

At the Minsk exhibition "Innoprom", a model of the new Russian-Belarusian aircraft LMS-192 "Osvey" was presented. Journalists noticed that the model has changed in comparison with the first render shown in May 2024.

The new model lacks the slopes under the wings and the struts of the non-retractable landing gear, although they were still present on the intermediate model presented at MILEX-2025.

Perhaps this is just an exhibition stylization. Or they hint that the design may provide for different chassis options (wheeled, float, ski). Still, the aircraft was originally declared as a braced high-wing aircraft with non-retractable landing gear.

The nose has become more streamlined and complete. While maintaining its size, it was made simpler in shape - dark coating was added around the cockpit and the transition angles were reduced to simplify production.

The wings received winglets - improved aerodynamics, reduced induced drag and increased fuel efficiency. But at the same time, the fairings of the flap and aileron suspension units disappeared - probably in order to reduce the cost and weight of the structure.

In addition, the stabilizer was moved from the fuselage to the keel. This option is more difficult to maintain, but at high angles of attack it is less likely to fall into the zone of turbulent flow around the wing and fuselage, which has a positive effect on aerodynamics.

The Chairman of the Brest Regional Executive Committee, Petr Parkhomchik, noted that the LMS-192 "Osvey" will make its first flight in 2026. From 2027 to 2030, it is planned to supply 158 aircraft of the series.

Earlier www1.ru reported that An-124 "Ruslan" went to Iran from the territory of the manufacturer of Su-30 and Yak-130.
