RSC Energia has completed factory acceptance tests of the new Progress MS-33 cargo ship and sent it to the technical complex of the Baikonur Cosmodrome.
Before being sent, Progress MS-33 passed a full cycle of tests: autonomous tests of onboard systems, electrical tests of service equipment and apparatus, as well as leak tests in a vacuum chamber. Factory control confirmed the ship's readiness for further preparation for flight.
The cargo ship will arrive at Baikonur in the first days of October. There, Roscosmos specialists will continue preparations for the launch, which will take place on December 19, 2025, on the Soyuz-2.1a launch vehicle.
"Progress MS-33" will deliver essential cargo to the Russian segment of the International Space Station, including food, equipment, and supplies.
Regular flights of "Progress" ships ensure a stable supply to the ISS crew, supporting the work of scientific experiments and the safe existence of the station. For Russia, this is a strategic element of the space program, allowing it to maintain technological independence and experience in operating cargo spacecraft.
