Russian-Belarusian Industrial Robot Project Announced in Minsk

The project will help accelerate the digitalization and automation of enterprises

Belarusian Prime Minister Alexander Turchin announced plans to start work on a allied industrial robot. He announced this at the plenary session "Union of New Technologies: Creating the Industry of the Future" as part of the "Innoprom. Belarus" exhibition.

Using the example of successful joint work on the creation of a allied machine tool, we propose to deploy similar work on the creation of a allied industrial robot
Prime Minister of Belarus Alexander Turchin

According to the head of government, Belarus aims to bring the level of robotization in industry to the world average — about 150 robots per 10,000 workers, mainly of domestic production. This will require integrating tens of thousands of robots and localizing the production of key components: servo drives, power electronics, machine vision systems, sensors. This will become a new point of cooperation between the industrial complexes of the allied countries.

Turchin emphasized that the republic already has technological reserves and is forming the human resources potential for the implementation of the project.

The creation of a allied industrial robot will accelerate the digitalization and automation of production, increase the efficiency of industrial enterprises and reduce dependence on imports of key components. For Belarus and its partners, this is a chance to strengthen cooperation and develop their own technological competencies.
