Удвоить производство элементов солнечных батарей для космической отрасли планируют на Краснодарском предприятии «Сатурн»

After project implementation, production capacity will more than double

The agreement signed at SPIEF-2025, amounting to 1.9 billion rubles, paves the way for the implementation of a significant new project. The company "Saturn" intends to establish the production of domestic photovoltaic converters (FECs) — critical components of solar panels responsible for powering spacecraft.

Currently, the production capacity is 200 sq. m per year, and after the project implementation, it will be 432 sq. m, according to Vasily Litvinov, Head of the Investment and Small and Medium-Sized Business Development Department of the Krasnodar Administration.

As part of the investment project, it is planned to conclude a contract for the supply of equipment, which will be installed in the second quarter of 2026. Following the project implementation, it is planned to create 15 jobs.

The "Saturn" enterprise was established in Krasnodar in 1964. Since 1972, the company has been developing solar and rechargeable batteries for spacecraft, control and measuring equipment for them, and complete autonomous photovoltaic power supply systems. Over the years, the company has equipped more than 1,200 spacecraft operating in all types of orbits with solar and rechargeable batteries.
