New Drilling Equipment Plant of TOFS, Baker Hughes' Successor in Russia, Opens in Tyumen

The production is designed to produce 700 units of equipment per year

TOFS Group, the successor to Baker Hughes' assets in Russia, has launched its first production site in Tyumen and started mass production of high-tech drilling equipment.

The total investment in the project amounted to 7 billion rubles, the production is designed to produce about 700 units of equipment per year and create 150 jobs. The plant is planned to reach full capacity by the end of 2026.

The plant specializes in equipment for directional drilling, including rotary steerable systems, as well as components for well completion. The machine park has 35 CNC units, which provides a full production cycle — from processing components to assembling finished systems.

In addition to the oil and gas industry, the plant's capacity allows it to produce equipment for machine tool construction, the automotive industry and heavy engineering. In the future, it is planned to build an R&D center on the territory of the cluster for the development of new technologies and product modernization.

The creation of a new plant strengthens the position of the domestic oil and gas engineering, reduces the industry's dependence on imports and contributes to the technological independence of the Russian fuel and energy complex.
