The bottom "Octopus" is designed for depths up to 500 m, that is, for the continental shelf, where minerals are extracted, and fish and crabs are caught. The UUS power source is a lithium-ion battery. The station will be able to receive energy from the shore or a platform on the shelf.

According to press service statements, "Octopus" is designed to serve from one to three robotic devices. After docking with "Octopus", the robot will be able to either recharge its batteries or temporarily stop at the station until the next mission begins. The station will analyze the technical condition of the robot and its software. In addition, "Octopus" can function as a data storage and transfer center: it will temporarily store information collected by the autonomous device and transmit it to a shore center or other devices.

Earlier www1 reported that the cruise ship "Vladimir Zhirinovsky" of project PV300VD will be completed at the Baltic Shipyard USC in St. Petersburg.
