Russia has begun actively constructing shelters at airfields for tactical and army aviation, according to a former military pilot and author of the Telegram channel Fighetbomber.
According to him, the construction rate is not yet very high.
Better late than never, but approximately three times more are needed than are being built. Because every airplane and helicopter should have a home.
Fighterbomber also noted that these are new anti-drone rapidly erected hangars made of metal chain-link mesh, cables, and profiles. Judging by the diagram presented online, the hangar is 25 m high, 7.5 m wide, and 23 m long.
Six such shelters will require 600 m of metal profile with diameters of 30x60 mm, 1800 m of 6 mm wide metal cable, 3600 sq. m of metal chain-link mesh, 2700 m of camouflage netting, 450 m of 120 mm thick metal pipe, and 90 cable tensioners.
