The company has already signed an agreement for the supply of 18 aircraft

Aeroflot wants to sign firm contracts for 90 domestic MC-21 aircraft by the end of 2025, according to Sergey Alexandrovsky, General Director of the group.

He reminded that there is already a firm contract for the first 18 machines. The carrier is discussing the terms of the next contract for 90 aircraft.

We would like to complete this discussion and reach the signing of firm contracts by the end of the year. We are ready, there are definitely no constraining factors on our side.

The group's fleet may also increase to 460 aircraft by 2030. The main factor in the growth of the number of aircraft is the supply of domestic aircraft.

We see the proportion as a whole, in the horizon up to 2033-2035, at about 50% - these are domestic aircraft.
Sergey Alexandrovsky, General Director of Aeroflot

MC-21 is a domestic passenger aircraft project that should replace the Tu-204 and Tu-154 families in the Russian market. It can also be an alternative to foreign-made aircraft.

The head of Rostec, Sergey Chemezov, said that in 2025 it is planned to release four import-substituted MC-21-310 aircraft with Russian PD-14 engines.
