The net loss of the MC-21 aircraft manufacturer, PJSC "Yakovlev", in the first half of 2025 increased by 9.17 times compared to the same period last year. It amounted to 4 billion rubles. The data was published in the company's RAS reporting.
Loss from continuing operations before tax reached 5.4 billion rubles, which is significantly higher than 792 million rubles in the first half of 2024. Long-term liabilities at the end of June amounted to 170 billion rubles. This figure is slightly lower than 172.6 billion rubles at the end of 2024. Short-term liabilities increased from 480.7 billion rubles to 512.5 billion rubles.
Other financial indicators, such as revenue and expenses, remain closed to access in accordance with the requirements of the legislation of the Russian Federation.
The "Yakovlev" company was founded in 2023 as a result of the renaming of the Irkut Aviation Corporation. The Yakovlev Design Bureau has been part of the Irkut Corporation since 2004, and since 2020 its structure includes the "Regional Aircraft" branch.
In March 2025, "Yakovlev" received approval from Rosaviatsiya for the serial production of MC-21 aircraft, which is scheduled to begin in 2026. The MC-21 is a new generation medium-range passenger aircraft with a capacity of 163 to 211 passengers. It should replace the Tu-154 and Tu-204, as well as become an alternative to foreign aircraft.
