American intelligence also spotted "Yasen-M" project 885 submarines in the Arctic and Barents Sea

American intelligence has recorded the deployment of Russian nuclear submarines in the Greenland area, in the Arctic and Barents Sea. We are talking about multi-purpose strike submarines of Project 885 code "Yasen-M", the United States is sure. Submarines are capable of carrying dozens of Caliber cruise and hypersonic Zircon missiles.

Yasen-M class submarine

Yasen-M project submarines are multi-purpose nuclear submarines with improved combat power and stealth, designed to replace earlier projects of the Russian submarine fleet.

The cruisers are equipped with Caliber missile systems and hypersonic Zircons, as well as a modern sonar system.

As of 2025, the Northern Fleet already has several such nuclear submarines, for example, Kazan, which went to exercises in the Barents Sea.

Project 885 Yasen submarines have a deep immersion zone, low noise level, vertical launchers for cruise missiles and torpedo tubes.

Earlier www1.ru reported that Russia is building the world's largest electronic intelligence complex near Kaliningrad.
