Volga-Dnepr Airlines may be transferred to the state, Kommersant reports. The founder and former owner of the Volga-Dnepr group, Alexey Isaikin, informed employees about the likely transfer of the business to the state.
He made the statement during the celebration of the 35th anniversary of Volga-Dnepr in Ulyanovsk.
Isaikin noted that the group "is of interest to those in need of its profile services", but "this interest is manifested taking into account the specifics of the current moment".
If the homeland says that the company should serve the homeland, then that's it: nationalization, confiscation, a fair deal, any form.
Three An-124–100 Ruslan and five Il-76 aircraft of Volga-Dnepr Airlines still retain certificates of airworthiness. Antran, which is part of the group, has two more An-12s in its operator's certificate.
Earlier www1.ru reported that the production of systems for Il-114-300 and MS-21-310 has been expanded in Nizhny Novgorod.
