The United Aircraft Corporation (UAC, part of Rostec) has patented a new wide-body long-range aircraft. Footage of the prototype of the new product has appeared online.
In the basic version, the capacity of the new aircraft is 281 passengers, and there are also elongated and shortened versions for 320 and 240 seats, respectively.
The closest aircraft to the development is the Boeing 787-9 Dreamliner, but the domestic development has advantages in operating costs.
In terms of operating costs per seat-kilometer, the new aircraft has an 11-13% advantage over the B787-9 in direct operating costs and 15-17% in direct operating costs.
The head of the Ministry of Industry and Trade estimated the timeframe for creating a wide-body aircraft beyond 2030.
Earlier www1.ru reported that production of systems for Il-114-300 and MS-21-310 was expanded in Nizhny Novgorod.
