The model is developed on the platform of the Chery Tiggo 9 crossover. According to the documentation, the car may have three commercial designations: T9, T9 Pro, and T9 Pro Max. The technical characteristics of the new product are similar to the model from Chery. The powertrain is expected to be similar to the Tiggo 9: a 245 hp turbocharged engine paired with an 8-speed automatic transmission.
The Tenet brand is a joint project of the Russian "AGR Holding" and the Chinese company Defetoo. The brand's model range will include four crossovers based on Chery cars. The Tenet T9 will be the flagship model in the lineup.
