The aircraft completed testing in the Komi sky

The new import-substituted Superjet-100 passenger aircraft completed flight tests in Komi, local media reported.

The aircraft arrived in Komi on August 7. During the tests, the aircraft flew around the border of the republic, and performed more than 10 touch-and-go landings in 2:30 hours of flight.

SJ-100 with tail number 97021 is a prototype of the modernized Superjet 100 (SJ-100) aircraft, also called Superjet New. This aircraft is part of the import substitution program for the SSJ-100, and its testing began in 2024.

It is equipped with partially Russian systems and equipment, as well as Franco-Russian SaM146 engines.
