The Komsomolsk-on-Amur Aviation Plant named after Yu.A. Gagarin (KnAAZ) maintains its production rate of fourth-generation Su-35S and Su-35SM fighters, according to Air & Space Forces Magazine.
According to the source, the production of Su-35S and Su-35SM versions will allegedly remain at the same level of 30 aircraft per year, while the production of Su-30SM2 will slow down slightly to the urgently developed SM3 version.
The Su-35S is a "4++" generation fighter with powerful weaponry, high maneuverability, and modern avionics. The aircraft is designed to gain air superiority, intercept aerial targets, and engage ground and surface targets.
Thanks to engines with thrust vectoring control and aerodynamic configuration, the Su-35S has outstanding maneuverability. The Irbis radar allows detecting and tracking a large number of targets at long distances, as well as engaging multiple targets simultaneously.
Earlier www1.ru reported that Russia built a Su-34ME export fighter for Algeria: the first shots appeared.
