At the end of July, the Russian Navy (VMF) received another nuclear submarine of Project 955A "Borei-A" — the missile cruiser "Knyaz Pozharsky". The publication "Technosphere Russia" reported how many of these submarines are in service with the country.
In combat readiness, the Russian Navy has 8 nuclear-powered strategic missile submarines of Project 955 at its disposal.
Of these, three are of the basic Project 955 (Borei) and five are of the modernized 955A (Borei-A). Two more Project 955A boats (Dmitry Donskoy and Knyaz Potemkin) are under construction — delivery to the fleet is scheduled for 2026 and 2027, respectively.
In addition, two more Borei-A submarines will begin construction in the next couple of years. The total construction time of a boat at the Sevmash plant is about 8 years.
Earlier www1.ru reported that supplies of parts for Superjets will increase by 2.5 times.
