Captain of the first rank in reserve, Vasily Dandykin, clarified that "Knyaz Pozharsky" is more correctly called an atomic missile cruiser of strategic purpose. According to him, Russia is significantly ahead of the Americans in creating modern submarines.

Our underwater cruiser carries solid-propellant Bulava missiles, each of which contains up to 8–10 warheads inside. After launch, each of them begins independent maneuvering. The range of such missiles is 8 thousand km.
