Spacecraft will feature ultra-high resolution

Representatives from Belarus and Russia have discussed the creation of a joint spacecraft for remote sensing of the Earth with ultra-high resolution. This was reported by the press service of the Belarusian National Academy of Sciences (NAS).

The parties discussed the following issues: the creation of a Russian-Belarusian Earth remote sensing spacecraft with ultra-high resolution of 0.35 m and a space system based on it, scientific and technical cooperation between Belarus and Russia in the field of space research and information and space technologies, the implementation of programs and projects of the Union State, and other matters.

During the negotiations, key aspects of the joint project were discussed, which could significantly improve Earth monitoring capabilities.

The National Academy of Sciences of Belarus and the Russian Academy of Sciences (RAS) have signed an agreement on scientific and technical cooperation. As part of this agreement, negotiations were held with the President of the RAS, Gennady Krasnikov. This opens up new horizons for joint research and development in the field of space.

Earlier, www1.ru reported that the "Soyuz-2.1b" will launch an Iranian satellite into orbit from the Vostochny Cosmodrome.
