The assembly of the Soyuz-2.1b carrier rocket, which will put two Russian satellites, Ionosfera-M No. 3 and No. 4, as well as 18 small devices into orbit, has been completed at the Vostochny Cosmodrome.
The installation of the rocket at the launch complex is scheduled for July 22, and the launch itself is scheduled for July 25 at 08:54 Moscow time.
The new satellites will double the spatial resolution of ionosphere observations of the Earth, improving the accuracy of space weather data. This is important for the stable operation of satellites, communication and navigation systems, which are sensitive to ionospheric disturbances.
