"Kalashnikov": "Vikhr" Missiles Can Effectively Combat UAVs

The "Vikhr" missiles in service with Russian combat helicopters are capable of effectively countering various targets, including drones, according to representatives of the Kalashnikov concern.

The ammunition can be used in difficult weather conditions and at any time of the day.

"Vikhrs" can destroy enemy attack aircraft, helicopters, and UAVs, as well as enemy fortifications, strong points, firing points, and manpower. Moreover, guided missiles effectively hit targets at any time of the day and in limitedly difficult meteorological conditions.
Kalashnikov Concern

The concern added that the specialists of the design bureau are constantly improving the product, taking into account the experience of its combat use.

Earlier in July, the concern reported that as part of a state contract, the Russian Ministry of Defense transferred a batch of "Vikhr-1" missiles. The warhead of the supersonic missile can penetrate up to 750 mm of armor behind dynamic protection.

Earlier, www1.ru reported that the flagship of the Navy, the cruiser "Admiral Kuznetsov," may be scrapped.
