A cassette developed by specialists of the High-Precision Complexes holding (part of Rostec) allows equipping any launcher of the Kornet anti-tank missile system (ATGM) with four of the latest 9M134 light missiles, also known as Bulat.
Specialists have made it possible to install a cassette with four "Bulats" instead of one conventional missile on any Kornet launcher. The new ammunition increases the variability of the complex's use — its typical targets include objects for which the power of the standard Kornet missile is excessive. "Bulat" is already undergoing pilot military operation.
"Bulat" is designed to destroy unarmored, lightly armored and medium armored vehicles, including those with dynamic protection installed. Successful tests of the ammunition confirmed the stated characteristics.
The 9M134 missile has a jam-resistant laser beam control system. The maximum firing range of this guided missile is several kilometers. "Bulats" can be fired from the Kornet launcher both in turn and in "tandem" mode.
Earlier www1.ru reported that the flagship of the Russian Navy, the Admiral Kuznetsov cruiser, may be scrapped.
