Уникальный поставщик электроники для МС-21 и SJ-100 оказался на грани банкротства

Diode supplier for Russian aviation "Optron-Stavropol" has ceased operations

The manufacturer of power electronics for aviation, "Optron-Stavropol," is on the verge of bankruptcy due to losses incurred as a result of fulfilling a state defense order, under which the price of products was significantly reduced.

МС-21

The enterprise is the sole supplier of diodes for aviation generators of Russian SSJ-100 and MC-21 aircraft, which are currently undergoing the certification process. The dates for their transfer to airlines have been repeatedly postponed. These same diodes are also used in military products.

The plant announced downtime in March, and accounts payable reached 230 million rubles by June. The company's accounts were seized, and there are also debts for taxes, utility payments, and wages.

"Optron-Stavropol" previously supplied products at a price of 3,600 rubles per unit. However, for the state defense order, the cost was set at 2,600 rubles. Thus, the company's losses in 2023 amounted to 102 million rubles, and in 2024 — 149 million.

Earlier, www1.ru reported that Irkutsk Aviation Plant has radically updated the electrical systems of the Yak-130M.
