Subsidiary of developer of S-500 Prometey air defense systems to pay 650 million for disrupting Ministry of Defense order

Almaz-Antey's Novator Design Bureau continues to seek funds from bankrupt partners

Years of research and development work commissioned by the Ministry of Defense of the Russian Federation have resulted in significant financial losses for the Novator Design Bureau in Yekaterinburg, which is part of the Almaz-Antey Air and Space Defense Concern.

The military pointed to the disruption of deadlines and obtained a ruling in the Arbitration Court to recover 650 million rubles from the Ural bureau. At the same time, representatives of Novator denied direct guilt, noting that in 2021 they were presented with an addition to the technical specifications, after which a number of already completed works had to be redone.

The court sided with the Ministry of Defense, which presented other claims to the Design Bureau. Representatives of Almaz-Antey preferred to remain silent regarding the conflicts.

The state-owned JSC \"Air and Space Defense Concern Almaz-Antey\" is one of the largest enterprises in the defense industry, producing air defense equipment, including the latest S-500 Prometey anti-aircraft missile system.

Earlier www1.ru reported that the engine cowling of a Superjet-100 was torn off in mid-air.
