\"Yakovlev\" gave new names to SJ-100 \"Superjets\" in honor of their creators

Four experienced aircraft received new names

The Yakovlev company (part of the United Aircraft Corporation of Rostec) has assigned the names of its founders — Alexander Yablontsev, Viktor Subbotin, Yuri Ivashechkin, and Igor Vinogradov — to four experienced SJ-100 Superjets for the 25th anniversary of the formation of the Regional Aircraft branch.

Three named experienced aircraft within the import substitution program have already been connected to the flight test program, and another aircraft is used to develop a number of technical solutions to support the operation of the flying SSJ-100 fleet.

The aircraft with serial number (s/n) 97001 was named in honor of the first test pilot of GSS, Alexander Yablontsev. In May 2008, he first raised the aircraft into the sky over Komsomolsk-on-Amur, and under his leadership, test pilots not only conducted the entire complex of flight tests of the aircraft, but also took an active part in supporting the commissioning of a new type of aircraft in Russian and foreign airlines.

The aircraft s/n 95157 was assigned the name of Viktor Subbotin, the first president of the company \"Civil Aircraft of Sukhoi\". Under his leadership, a new company was created, an international cooperation was formed, the first contracts for the SSJ-100 were signed, production began, and flight tests of the machine started.

The aircraft s/n 97003 was named after the first Chief Designer of the SSJ-100, Yuri Ivashechkin. He came to the program as an experienced aircraft designer who had participated in the development of a number of Sukhoi Design Bureau aircraft.

The aircraft s/n 95005 was named in honor of the Deputy General Director for Certification and Quality of Civil Aviation Equipment, Igor Vinogradov. He became one of the founders of the modern Russian system for certification of passenger aircraft and aviation industry enterprises.
