The small anti-submarine ship "Sovetskaya Gavan" (Project 1124M) of the Pacific Fleet conducted tactical exercises in the Sea of Japan. This was reported in the press service of the fleet.
The ship's crew repelled a simulated attack by drones and unmanned surface vehicles (BECs), using shipborne automatic artillery systems AK-630M (30 mm caliber) and 12.7 mm caliber machine guns.
The sailors conducted exercises on the defense and protection of the ship while stationed in an unprotected roadstead. The military personnel installed autonomous hydroacoustic systems MGS-417M at a depth of up to 100 m. The equipment creates a "hydroacoustic barrier" to detect submarines and unmanned underwater vehicles of the enemy.
The press service of the Pacific Fleet emphasized that the maneuvers confirmed the high level of readiness of the military personnel.
