The large landing ship (BDK) "Ivan Gren" (Project 11711) docked at the Northern Dvina embankment in Arkhangelsk. As part of the "Strength in Truth" campaign, it will be open to visitors on May 17 from 9:30 to 13:00.
The ship contains museum exhibits from the Naval Museum of the Northern Fleet. The exposition is dedicated to the history of the Northern Fleet, the 80th anniversary of Victory in the Great Patriotic War.
In the 'tweendeck', visitors will see the legendary Soviet T-34 tank, the SU-100 self-propelled artillery unit, a machine-gun cart, and the Soviet BTR-4MV armored personnel carrier.
The "Strength in Truth" campaign will end on September 21 at the main base of the Northern Fleet in Severomorsk.
BDKs of Project 11711 were developed by specialists from the Nevsky Design Bureau. They were built at the Yantar shipbuilding plant in Kaliningrad.
In addition to the "Ivan Gren", the Northern Fleet includes the BDK "Petr Morgunov" of the same project. Two more BDKs are under construction — "Vladimir Andreev" and "Vasily Trushin."
