The MC-21-310 aircraft with registration number 73055, with the PD-14 engine and fully domestic components, flew over Irkutsk that day.
The MC-21 is a new generation medium-range passenger aircraft with a capacity of 163 to 211 passengers. The airliner is assembled at the Irkutsk Aviation Plant. The first flight took place on May 28, 2017, and on December 15, 2020, the airliner made its first flight with the Russian PD-14 engine.
