The Dnepr Flotilla has been reinforced with new unmanned aerial vehicle (UAV) units that are engaged in fire adjustment, reconnaissance, and striking enemy targets.
It is noted that the unit has already participated in combat operations in several sections of the line of contact.
Interviewed experts noted that drones will be indispensable in destroying fortified points on the shore and saboteurs on boats.
Boats and ships are armed with man-portable air defense systems (MANPADS) and small arms, but drones are also effective in combating enemy drones. Drone fighters have already proven themselves in the fight against their own kind. They should play a positive role in strengthening air defense.
Earlier www1.ru reported that Russia has begun testing the latest satellite communication system for UAVs.
