A case of administrative offense under the article on the promotion of LGBT* (the international LGBT public movement has been recognized as extremist and banned in the Russian Federation) has been initiated against Apple Distribution International Ltd., the Tagansky Court of Moscow reported.
The court received a protocol on an administrative offense against Apple Distribution International under Part 3 of Art. 6.21 (propaganda of non-traditional sexual relations and (or) preferences, gender reassignment or refusal to have children using the Internet).
The article provides for a fine of 4 million rubles or suspension of activities for up to 90 days. The date of the hearing has not yet been set.
This is not the first time Apple has been held administratively liable in Russia. In November last year, the Tagansky Court of Moscow fined the company 3.6 million rubles for failing to remove information banned in Russia.
Earlier www1.ru reported that Apple closed access for Russian developers to the Apple Developer Enterprise Program platform for creating business applications.
*LGBT is an extremist organization banned in Russia.
