Российский «Суперджет» впервые достиг практического потолка на испытаниях

Лайнер поднялся на высоту 12 200 метров

The new Russian aircraft "Superjet" has reached its maximum possible altitude of 12,200 meters - the service ceiling for this type of aircraft. This was reported by the press service of the United Aircraft Corporation (UAC).

The flight lasted about three hours, and the crew performed modes to check the aircraft's control system after updating the software, which expanded the functionality and safety of flights.

In addition, the pilots checked the radio navigation and piloting equipment after updating the software and hardware, which improved piloting performance.

The aircraft computer interface has become easier for crews to understand and operate. The pilots also checked the control system throughout the entire speed range, from minimum to maximum at 310 knots, at high angles of attack and at maximum altitude. The test results, according to the crew, are positive, UAC noted.

Earlierwww1.ru reported that a Russian Su-34 fighter successfully landed with a cockpit canopy that burst at an altitude of 10 km.
