Metal frame and production building for high-speed trains will be built in Verkhnyaya Pyshma

Engineering preparation of the facility and excavation are nearing completion

At the Ural Locomotives plant in Verkhnyaya Pyshma, the installation of the first metal frame structure of the body for commissioning electric trains has been completed. Simultaneously with the construction, a new production complex is being designed.

At the same time, supplier companies have begun manufacturing prototypes of components for the high-speed train. In general, the project is progressing in accordance with the approved schedule.

The new facility will include a complex for the production of high-speed trains, a body for the formation of body components, a traction drive test center, a design and administrative center.

The installation of temporary railway tracks, bored piles of the main frame and power floor has been fully completed at the site. The installation of sub-concrete under the foundations, pile caps, plinth beams is coming to an end, 125 columns out of 139 have been installed, over 3 thousand cubic meters of concrete have been poured. Engineering preparation and excavation of local soil are nearing completion.

The new production complex will allow to carry out:

  • Combining wagons into a train with connection of communications.
  • Simulating the operation of a locomotive in real conditions.
  • High-voltage and low-voltage tests.
  • Checking the tightness of inter-car passages.
  • Monitoring the operation of water supply and sewerage systems of wagons.
