New models have appeared on the territory of the former General Motors plant in Russia, where Opel and Chevrolet cars were once produced. Among them are the Kia Rio X-Line hatchback and the Chery Tiggo 7L, which replaced the Tiggo 7 Pro Max. This may indicate the resumption of the plant, which has been idle for ten years.
The Solaris KRX, also known as the raised Kia Rio X hatchback, is now produced in the same region, but at a different production site — the Sestroretsk Machine-Building Plant (now Avtozavod AGR).
The Chery Tiggo 7L is a new model that appeared in China last spring under the name "simply" Tiggo 7. There has been no opportunity to see this model in Russia yet, but instead, the Tiggo 7 Pro Max was brought to us after restyling. However, cars with 7L markings were recently spotted near one of the dealerships in Moscow.
Earlier, the Russian car market left the top five European leaders. Germany retained its leadership, France was in second place, Italy was in third place, followed by Spain and the UK.
